Objective
This example demonstrates the design capabilities of lateral analysis of flexible diaphragms in LAVA.
Four-Story Wood Light-Frame Structure [Ref 1, Page 1]
Four-story wood-frame hotel, with lateral-load-resisting system consists of wood-frame bearing shear walls. The wood roof is framed with pre-manufactured wood trusses, with composition shingle roofing. The floor is framed with prefabricated wood I-joist, with 1-1/2” lightweight concrete topping.
